(10-2018) Reviews from the Guestbook:
"When we arrived, I could already tell that this place is where fairy tales come to life. You don't need any fantasy to get there, this house will do that for you.
These where two amazing weeks with such amazing surroundings. The Dordogne, Domme, Sarlat, markets and hills I've been cycling all over. This is a beautiful part of France. Dear Nicola thank you for your hospitality and kindness. Thank you for making us feel as if this is our own house. We had a blast!"

"We have had a wonderful week in your lovely house and beautiful garden! It was nice to explore the surroundings, however it was even better to come home at your house and have a glass of wine in the garden and a BBQ dinner. Also our dog Dex enjoyed the garden where he had enough space to play.
Many thanks Nicola for letting us feel at home in your house. You are very thoughtful and you really have a eye for detail!"
" Great house, Great garden, Great massage, Great location, Fantastic week"
" We loved the house, it is very atmospheric. A house where you feel at home quickly. A quiet environment and a fine place where one of us could finish a study. We loved your beautiful garden, the best place to relax. A week to remember. Thank You, for giving us this opportunity."
(05-2018) Dear Lydia
This is a gorgeous, beautifully decorated house with the most stunning garden. The kitchen is huge and wonderful for entertaining or just spending time cooking your favourite dish. It leads onto the patio and the garden where watching the sun go down with a glass of wine is one life's great pleasures. The sitting room is creatively decorated and feels so homely yet chic. You'll immediately relax as soon as you walk in the door.
I've stayed at House Artiste a number of times. Please feel free to add my name to the review.
My friends and I stayed here in June 2017 for my birthday. The description of the property just does not do it justice. If you are looking for a rural getaway this is perfect.
We experienced fantastic sunsets from the garden and the balcony. Gourdon is only a few KM away. The medieval village has everything you need, some wonderful wine shops and a fab weekly market. Cahors is close.
It’s a well loved and comfortable artist’s home. There’s no pool. So if that’s the kind of holiday you want this is not for you. If you want a fabulous, historic, rural, comfortable and stunning home to chill and hang in this is perfect. The kitchen opens straight onto the garden.
Experiencing art on the wall of a museum or gallery is one thing, but to witness it within the surroundings where it was made is another, far rarer opportunity.
It would be great to have had en suites and A/C – but that’s not the point of the place. This is a lovely well loved home in rural France and we highly recommend it.
