This charming and tastefully decorated cottage is the perfect hideaway for couples (with a maximum of one child) looking for peace, romance and comfort. It is situated in the heart of the small, flower-filled village of Fanlac, within walking distance of an excellent restaurant. For most of the year, the swimming pool is entirely private. Pets are welcome outside the high season or on request.

Inside

The interior is warm, romantic and beautifully designed, ideal for two guests. Upon arrival, you enter a traditional French courtyard where the inviting pool immediately catches your eye. The cosy terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun.
Inside, you will find a charming bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A connecting door leads to the open kitchen and living room, a comfortable and intimate space to relax, read or enjoy a home-cooked meal. Every detail reflects the character of the region and the owners’ love for this area.

During high season, the owners may occasionally be present and make use of the pool. Outside these moments, you will enjoy complete privacy.

Outside

The cottage offers a small, fully enclosed garden with a lovely private pool. Parking is available on the property. An excellent restaurant is located just 100 metres away, perfect for an easy and enjoyable evening out.

Surroundings

Fanlac is a picturesque “Village Fleuri”, close to Montignac and the famous Lascaux caves. Saint Léon-sur-Vézère is also nearby, as well as the medieval town of Sarlat, only 15 kilometres away. The region is perfect for exploring local culture, gastronomy and the beautiful Dordogne landscape.

The house is located in a beautiful, picturesque little village. It is furnished with great taste and love, very clean, and the owner, Alexandra, is incredibly kind. It's very centrally located for many walks and visits. The pool is clean with a jet stream for a countercurrent. A superb location for those who love peace and quiet! TOP!

We had a fantastic holiday in Fanlac! Despite the changeable weather!
On lesser days we visited many nice places, in good weather we enjoyed the pool.

The ultimate peace in Fanlac is so nice, so you can really relax. The people in the village are very friendly, Montignac is nearby for groceries, so a great place to stay.

The cottage itself was also very nice, nice and cool but a bit dark. Everything you need is in the house, top arranged!
Big enough for us and the dog. Also nice that the garden is fenced, so our dog could run loose. He doesn't like water so with heat he snuggled inside on the cool floor :)

Everything was top notch, even Alexandra's hospitality was top notch! She kept us well informed and informed via app and mail.

Our visit was super! The cottage is very nice. Inside, the interior design is new, clean and well positioned. Outside, you have a romantic garden house to sit/eat and of course a great (heated) swimmingpool!!

The host is very hospitable. She offered a welcome drink and even put candles on by the pool when she knew we would go for a swim (at 9 in the evening). When she saw that we hang clothes outside to dry, she gave us a drying rack. We even think she bought a baby bed and chair when she heard we have a baby girl with us. She does everything to make you feel at home or to let you have a wonderful stay at this nice cottage.

Fanlac is a very cute little village (+/- 30 houses). All houses are very old and stylish. The village could be a film set. Fanlac is located near the most important touristic spots in the dordogne (lascaux 10 min drive, village de madeleine 15 min drive etc).
