We offer two types of contracts, depending on your preferences and level of involvement. You’re free to block out a number of weeks for your own use, so you can continue enjoying your holiday home whenever you like.
What do we do differently from the big platforms?

FranceVilla specializes in holiday homes in Southwest France: the Dordogne, the Lot, and Lot-et-Garonne. This is deliberately a defined area; we know every villa and the surroundings personally, rather than working spread throughout France.
The holiday home must have a private swimming pool, at least two bedrooms for at least 2 people, and be situated in a quiet location. Additionally, it must naturally be of good quality and in a high state of maintenance.
We do not work with a percentage commission. Instead, we agree on a fixed rate with you in advance that you receive per rental. This way, you know exactly what you will earn from each booking.
That depends on the agreements we make. With a semi-exclusive partnership, you can simply continue renting out elsewhere outside the exclusive period agreed upon with us. During that exclusive period, you only rent through FranceVilla. We discuss in advance which form suits your situation. 90% of landlords work exclusively with us because this allows us to utilize our full capacity for the optimal rental of your property.
Yes. You remain in charge of your own home: you can block off a few weeks per year for your own use, so that you can continue to enjoy your holiday home.
- The owner is personally responsible for the final cleaning and handing over the keys to guests.
The deposit is handled through FranceVilla. In the event of damage, we mediate between the owner and the guest to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
About FranceVilla
We are Marieke Mennes and Martijn de Graaf, owners of FranceVilla. Marieke grew up in the Dordogne, and Martijn comes from the online property rental industry: an ideal mix to effectively assist both renters and homeowners. Since 2025, we have taken over the company with great enthusiasm from our parents (and in-laws), who successfully built up FranceVilla since 2003. We thoroughly enjoy spending several months a year in Southwest France. As a result, we know every holiday home we visit regularly very well and know the region inside out.
