Mon Désir

Mon Désir is a fantastic typical French Manoir, located in the most beautiful part of the Périgod Noir (Dordogne/Lot) and suitable for up to 14 people. This luxury holiday home with a large private heated pool situated in a complete private garden (park-like), consists of 2 buildings: the Manoir suitable for 10 people and a separate house suitable for 4 people. The domain of 4 HA (of which a great part is totally fenced) is located on the top of a hill giving you a breathtaking view over the Dordogne/Lot valley. The old fortified town of Gourdon with all facilities and numerous restaurants is only a 10 minutes’ drive from your accommodation, a bakery and a good restaurant can be found in the nearby village just a few kilometers away. Mon Désir is ideal for several families or groups, luxurious, private, in short a lovely house to spend a wonderful holiday.

Inside

Mon Désir has no less than a living area of 260m2. There is a spacious living room with modern open kitchen and patio doors to the terrace, 5 bedrooms (3 on the first floor and 2 on the snd floor) and two bathrooms. The house will have airconditioning throughout the whole house starting April 2024.

One bedroom has its own shower in the bedroom. The 2nd house (the barn) has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The barn is fully airconditioned.

Outside

The estate (partly fenced) with ancient trees consisting of meadow and forest has a total area of more than 4 hectares. There is a beautiful and large heated swimming pool, several terraces and a courtyard with ample parking for cars.

Surroundings

Ideally located between Lot and the Dordogne, and not far from the beautiful cities of Sarlat, Domme, Padirac, La Roque Gageac, Rocamadour and Gourdon. You have endless views here and do not forget: in this region you have the lowest light pollution in Europe! Be amazed by the countless stars that you can see here at night!

Price Mon Désir outside second week July until last week August based on the main house only. If you also want to rent the (large) gite you will be charged extra (depending on the season). The extra gite will never be rented separately!

Very nice beautiful and large house. Nice swimming pool, the children had a great time in it and on the grounds. Also cozy inside. Many rooms and bathrooms. The only downside: installing air conditioning. Those large containers take up a lot of space: open windows so mosquitoes get in. And make a lot of noise, which made it too hot at night. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the house and have already recommended it to countless people. Thank you for the great service.

Apologies for the delay in sending you this, the last few weeks have been a little crazy. Anyway we just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mon Desir, it was perfect for the ten of us and we had absolutely everything we needed. The location is idyllic and the views are stunning. The house and the gíte are well equipped and we certainly made good use of the lovely pool.

We enjoyed looking around Gourdon and it was an easy drive to buy all we needed from the local shops and supermarkets there.
Our thanks to you for all your help and advice before we went, the trout farm that you recommended for lunch was fun and the trout dishes were delicious.

Our thanks also to Christelle for her welcome and my birthday champagne and a big shout out to Rashid and his delightful family for coming to the villa and preparing and serving the most delicious meal.

The house was definitely worth it and we had a wonderful week's holiday. We will definitely use your services for our next visit to France.

Just found a moment to let you know that we had a great holiday in the house Mon Desir.
The first week with our children, the second week with the two of us which was also wonderful.
The house is in a beautiful spot with a great view over the valley, and we were regularly surprised by the peace and quiet that is there every day.
If you didn't play music yourself, you only heard a train ride in the distance, that was actually all.
Furthermore, the house met our expectations, although my children were amazed that no toilet made the use of a toilet holder possible, there was just not there haha. So the role was always in a different place.
The lack of hooks for hanging towels, especially in the kitchen, took some getting used to, but these are only very small observations that did not spoil the fun.
The pool was lovely.
After all, we had a great holiday, and I appreciate your professionalism in guidance from the beginning to the end.
Have been away with Belvilla many times, but this is just as good.
For next year we would like to go deeper into France, and then as a couple, so suggestions are very welcome.
