We are now well rested and enjoying your cozy house and the beautiful surroundings.
The house is a wonderful place to stay. Extra important at this time of year. Even when you sit inside, you still feel like you are outside and enjoy the fantastic view. With the often strong winds, it is nice to find a place in the garden where the wind has less of an opportunity.
We find Plakias a friendly place and slowly more businesses are starting to open. We had a lovely meal there several times with a view of the sea. The good butcher, fish shop, bakery and supermarket are also nice. Eating out is fun and tasty, but not every day. Rethimnon is attractive, well-organized and reasonably close.
Sylvia is fantastic. She is sympathetic, fast and very helpful.
We look forward to the days we can still be here. There is still plenty to discover and enjoy.

We enjoyed Olja Petra on Crete!! Fantastic house, quiet-rural - located on the mountain with beautiful views over the bay!
Our holiday home is decorated in a beautiful style - a bit of Ibiza-like. Wonderful beds and well-equipped kitchen and nice swimming pool with sunbeds. The many terraces and seating areas around the house and on the veranda make it possible to enjoy the sun all day long or to seek the shade with your cup of coffee or wine. It is so wonderfully quiet in the evening; with only the Cicadas in the tree and the bells of the herd of Goats on the mountainside. The house is free of insects that cannot fly in through the good extra mesh sliding doors. Rent a car at the airport. This takes you to various beautiful beaches and nice bays, good eateries and charming villages in just a few minutes. The market on Thursdays in Rethymnon (half an hour's drive) is highly recommended. My daughter and I returned completely refreshed!
I also took a lot of photos, but only with my mobile and not in large format, so probably too coarsely pixelated for the website. Many photos were shared on FB and Insta during this holiday and you were tagged several times, of course.

You can (also) eat within walking distance in Lefkogia in the local tavern, where the family serves delicious dishes. The inventory could have been a bit more spacious, otherwise had a great stay.

The house Oljapetra is fully equipped. Lefkogia is located in the south of Crete and is a traditional village surrounded by olive groves. You can relax there, but also view everything in the area. Supermarkets, beach and good restaurants (not expensive) a short drive away. Sylvia is very hospitable and took the time to answer all our questions. We had a wonderful holiday with our family (daughter 23 and son 22)! Thank you Lydia and Thijs, we would love to come back.

The garden was even bigger than expected and everything was very quiet in April. The location is also good, between mountains and with a view of the sea. Two beaches and shops are not far away. The location is a 10 minute drive from several beaches and just a few minutes from the village of Lefkogia. Silvia, who takes care of the place, is very welcoming and had good tips for excursions and restaurants (e.g. Taverna Mariou). With the two bedrooms, the house is also suitable for four people. We would come back anytime!
