Beautiful small manor house in traditional 18th-century style, located on the edge of a charming village, with a lovely garden where the heated private pool is situated. One of the highlights of this holiday home is the adjoining 50 m² gîte with a cozy open-plan living room, its own bedroom and bathroom. Perfect for parents joining their adult children on holiday! Villa Les Rocs is always rented as a private holiday home, if you only need the main house, the gîte will simply remain unused. A wonderful extra service from the owners!

Interior

On the ground floor, overlooking the back garden, you’ll find the modern, fully equipped kitchen with a central island and a large dining table seating up to 8 guests. Special feature: the kitchen is partly integrated into the old stone fireplace… The spacious living room opens onto the inner courtyard with a delightful covered terrace. Also on this level is a lovely en-suite bedroom, suitable for wheelchair users. Upstairs are two very spacious and bright bedrooms (both air-conditioned): one with 4 single beds, perfect for children, and the other with a large double bed. An additional bathroom is also located upstairs. Please note: only the bedrooms on the first floor have air conditioning.
The adjoining gîte offers space for 2 more guests (plus a baby if needed), with its own living room, bedroom, and bathroom (50 m²).

Outside

Charming private garden in a peaceful setting. Heated private pool with a sunny terrace, equipped with sun loungers and a beautiful tree providing shade during the warm summer months. Parking available for 2 cars.

The environments

Lovely village with café/bar and restaurant just a few kilometers from Montignac. Only a 5-minute drive to Terrasson and Montignac, offering shops, supermarkets, bakeries, cafés, and restaurants. The medieval town of Sarlat is just 20 minutes away, with excellent shopping, fine restaurants, and plenty of cultural events.

Outside of July and August, there is a €200 surcharge if you wish to rent the gîte as well (it will remain closed if not needed).

We enjoyed the region and a fantastic week with beautiful sunny weather! The house and garden have been beautifully renovated. All comforts are present. The kitchen is wonderfully well equipped. Sanitary facilities very nice and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms and very comfortable beds.
 
The contact with Anouar was great! He is always available and has done everything in the world to make it as pleasant as possible for us. Due to the bad weather of the weeks before, the heat pump of the swimming pool was closed. Because our children really wanted to swim, he did everything he could to heat the pool. The children really enjoyed it! Big thanks Anouar for all the good care! Your house and your services are more than worth a recommendation!

The house was perfect, beautiful surroundings, beautiful garden and spacious house. The gites were nice for the young couple who stayed with us with a 4-month-old baby. Anouar is a very sweet and helpful man and we enjoyed his delicious bottles. I give the house a score of 11 out of 10. perhaps a small recommendation to place lubricating knives with the cutlery, now we only had steak knives and they are difficult to lubricate. Recommended for guests with dogs.

Les Rocs is a delightful property in a beautiful quiet village. The house is well equipped, comfortable, stylish, and clean. We particularly loved the pool, which was the perfect temperature, and the covered veranda with its gas BBQ and big table for outdoor dining. La Bachellerie is close to some stunning places to visit, such as Saint-Leon.Sur-Vesere where you will find Le Petit Leon, a restaurant which really ought to be Michelain starred because the food is so good! The local Epicerie in La Bachellerie has a depot de pain, and the croissants are all butter and delicious, and the shop stocks a fantastic range of goods considering it is quite a small space. We even found Almond Milk, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the house, and the area. Thank you Anouar, we had a great stay at your place.

We have indeed been back for a week and really enjoyed the house. We were also very lucky with the weather so that was nice too.

The contact with the landlord was excellent and everything was clear and he was on the doorstep within a few minutes if there were any questions.

The bakery in the village was a very big plus. Still nicer to be able to go to the bakery on foot than to have to sit in the car for 20 minutes.

The fact that you can reach your destination very quickly from the highway is also very pleasant.

The area is also very beautiful, but of course you know that. This house is definitely on the list to book again.

Thanks again for this beautiful house and the good guidance in the process, also for the cancellation for my parents.

Lovely clean villa, easily slept the 7 of us. We all loved the saltwater pool and fenced off garden perfect for the dog! Lovely quiet village, plenty of walks on the doorstep.  Local tabac has enough supplies, fresh bread/croissants and bar. Car is a must. The owner was great and happy to help, brush up on your French!

We enjoyed the house and the beautiful Dordogne region. The house has a large enclosed garden in which the children and dog could play to their heart's content. The pool was wonderfully refreshing on the hot days. We were received very warmly by the owner who even gave us a tour through La Bachellerie and the surrounding area! Very nice. Played tennis nearby on the tennis court. We got bread in the morning at the shop around the corner. The house has a lot of space. The kids had their own bathroom upstairs. We did not use the apartment ourselves, but it was nice and cool there all day. Beautiful environment. Nice trips made to the villages and castles in the area. Lovely swim in the Ceou and the Vezere. Spotted a lot of deer!

We have left Chemin des Rocs this morning and I just wanted to say how perfect it is. The house, pool and garden - all of it just great. 

The beds were made up beautifully and it was spotlessly clean throughout on arrival. Comfortable to sleep, cook and relax in. It was so peaceful in the quiet garden with the pool at always a good temperature. 

The village is also lovely and has great facilities with the little shop, bakery, tennis court and children's playground all in walking distance. It would be a great place for a young family to stay, for us and our dogs it was gorgeous. We found a walk straight out the door for the dogs which they loved every morning. The garden being completely securely fenced also allowed peace of mind to have the dogs roam free when we were enjoying the pool or similar. 

Thank you and thank you to Anourd for allowing us to stay in the beautiful home and all his help. We hope to be back next year.
