We had a very lovely holiday, partly thanks to the great weather.
We really liked the location of the house, nice and peaceful, a beautiful view, and yet close to fun places to visit.
The house itself is, of course, very spacious for two people. It actually has everything you need; even a teapot! The swimming pool is naturally a big plus, as is the large terrace under the veranda.
It was a shame, of course, that the internet wasn’t working, but that has now been resolved. Upon arrival, due to circumstances, we unfortunately didn't see Myriam, but that wasn't really necessary anyway. The house was clean and tidy. Dave, who came to maintain the pool, is a cheerful Englishman who enjoys a chat. In the end, he handled the fiber connection well.
We don't really have any suggestions. A lot is already mentioned in the information provided by you. The market in Sarlat is highly recommended, as is the charming hamlet of Saint-Pompont. Watching the sunset from the observation tower at Moncalou is definitely worth it. It’s a 15-minute drive. I have added a few photos of the surrounding area.

We had an exceptionally good restful family holiday.

The immediate vicinity of the house is beautiful, and very quiet. This while at a 15-minute drive you can look up the tourist fun with the many tasty restaurants. But you can also quietly explore remote villages.
The house itself also suits us perfectly. It is not the finish of a villa, but that makes it just within our budget, so we can enjoy a large heated swimming pool.
The DVDs, books, games, brochures were also a nice surprise.
We slept very well. Perhaps we are no longer used to that silence.
But it is also a sign that the beds are good.
