Villa Castelneuve is a spacious and charming private holiday home, beautifully located in the south of the Lot region. This comfortable villa enjoys a peaceful setting and offers breathtaking views over the green, rolling hills of the French countryside. The fenced, private swimming pool, generous layout and child-friendly design make it an ideal holiday destination for families and groups of friends. Villa Castelneuve can accommodate up to 6 adults and 6 children, with additional space for 2 babies. Here you can enjoy the good French life in complete peace, privacy and safety.

Inside

Inside, you will find a bright and spacious living area with a modern, fully equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area and a comfortable lounge. The large open-plan kitchen opens directly onto the covered terrace, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. On the ground floor there are two spacious bedrooms with comfortable double beds (160 x 200 cm), a luxurious bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
On the first floor there is another double bedroom, a fully equipped baby room with cot, baby bath and changing table, and a large, inviting children’s dormitory with six beds (90 x 190 cm). This room is specially designed for children and features a play area with its own television and DVD player, a firm favourite with younger guests. Upstairs you will also find a spacious bathroom with both shower and bathtub, as well as a separate toilet. For added comfort, the villa has underfloor heating on the ground floor and air conditioning throughout the house.

Outside

The fully private swimming pool measuring 10 by 5 metres is beautifully positioned and offers wide, uninterrupted views over the surrounding hills. Comfortable sun loungers are placed around the pool and there is an outdoor shower. Children can play safely on the grassy lawn while you relax on the terrace or enjoy a good glass of wine. The covered terrace is perfect for long, convivial summer evenings.

Surroundings

The surroundings of Villa Castelneuve are ideal for walking and cycling through the varied landscape of the Lot. The nine-hole Roucous Golf course is located approximately ten kilometres away. At around five kilometres you will find a leisure pool with water slide and several lively markets where you can discover local products and regional specialities. This holiday home combines nature, relaxation and comfort in an ideal way and is a perfect base for exploring this authentic region.

We stayed here from the beginning of August with 11 people (6 adults + 5 children - teenagers). The house and pool are very nice. The view from the pool over the countryside is magnificent. The possibilities for walks from the house are numerous. The village of Castenlau is 10 minutes by car. Very nice animation on Wednesday evening (tasting of regional dishes on the main square). We had a pleasant stay in this house.

We can hereby confirm that we spent a very nice holiday in our holiday home in Castelneuve-Montratier.

The house, the space, the swimming pool, the wideness of the landscape, the friendliness of the 'villagers', the markets….

It was really a beautiful house with all the trimmings. Nice and cool during hot days, nothing was missing and all rooms were spacious and tidy. We have said several times that we could continue living there immediately. Unfortunately, the next tenant already presented itself ????.

A small suggestion would be to add another lounge area within the pool area. This is because we liked it so much to have an aperitif with a view of the valley. The current chairs at the pool are then very hard. The owner explained to us that they do not offer pillows because of allergies and or hygiene, which we understand, but lying on hard beds for days and sitting was disappointing.

Of course, this suggestion can be ignored compared to all the plus points of the house, but since the owner let us know that a good review with you could ensure that he can raise the price a bit (we told him we don't want this, because we can no longer afford it ????), then we think the luxury of pillows and a lounge is a must.

The house is very comfortable and spacious and has a beautiful view of the valley from the terrace. We found the peace and relaxation we were looking for.

Thanks to the thick walls of the converted fortified farm, the heat (up to 40° in the shade) could not penetrate hard inside, so we always found a pleasant house in the scorching heat.

We had a great time in Castelneuve. The house was really above expectations, even better than in the pictures!
Perfect layout of the rooms and outdoor areas, beautifully restored, fresh, clean and tidy, many (kitchen) supplies and in a beautiful location on the hill with mega view. Totally great!
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find many photos - without us on them - to use for the website. I hereby send a number of view photos and one of us all on the terrace; not to use but may be nice to look at.
