We felt right at home with our 3 children in this attractive castle. Here your imagination immediately runs wild upon arrival; we dreamed about who had preceded us on the wide stairs, what was cooked in that cozy kitchen and we couldn't believe our eyes in the beautiful rooms. Everything breathes history here. If you can take beautiful 'instagram-worthy' photos on your holiday anywhere, then it is here. The swimming pool is lovely and you can endlessly romp in the garden or read a book in the shade of a tree. And when it is warm outside, the thick walls of the castle ensure that it stays nice and cool inside. Some holiday spots you just forget, this is one that you will always remember and where all five of us would like to return! Family Vlasman

(08-2018) Dear Lydia

Thank you so much for helping us out last week. We left Chateau Granger yesterday morning with a heavy heart after five fantastic days. It was a real treat – our 3 sons loved it – and although it was obviously big enough to fit us all in many times over, the house had a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made us all slow down, relax and start to have fun ( and forget the nightmare of the previous three days!). Well worth the three hour drive up from the coast. You have single-handedly converted us to the Dordogne.

We will visit your Facebook page to say as much. And perhaps one day we will be lucky enough to go back again.

The fridge arrived and went in no problem, everything worked and the only problem to report was that two of the outdoor candles in glass jars on the table outside the back door shattered when we lit them. I put them back inside the house where Babette would find them.

We left a copy of the magazine we publish – rakesprogress – for you and your guests to enjoy. We think/hope you'll like it. If you want any more for your properties, let us know.
