Inside

The inviting ground floor is divided into two spacious living areas: a generous TV room that can also be used as a home cinema, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Large doors open onto the terrace, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the year. Almost all furniture, both indoors and outdoors, was newly purchased in 2026.

The ground floor also features a comfortable bedroom with its own private entrance and en suite bathroom, making it ideal for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs you will find four additional spacious bedrooms, each equipped with air conditioning and its own private bathroom, ensuring maximum comfort and privacy for every guest.

Outside

The villa is surrounded by a fully enclosed 8,000 m² garden where you can relax in complete privacy while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The private swimming pool, measuring 3.5 x 11 metres, offers plenty of space for swimming or cooling off on warm summer days. Several terraces provide sunny and shaded spots throughout the day, while the private parking makes your stay even more comfortable.

Outside

Villa Rocamadour enjoys a prime location in the heart of the Dordogne Valley, making it an excellent base for discovering the highlights of the Lot region. The spectacular village of Rocamadour is only 6 km away. Built dramatically against a cliff face, it is one of France's most famous and breathtaking destinations. While visiting, don't miss the Parc Animalier de Gramat, the Forêt des Singes monkey park and the impressive bird of prey show.

Around 15 km away lies the famous Gouffre de Padirac, where you descend underground before taking a boat trip through an extraordinary cave system. This unforgettable excursion is highly recommended. The lively town of Gramat is also nearby, offering supermarkets, a traditional Thursday market and a popular wildlife park.

Nature lovers will appreciate the Dordogne River, located just 15 km from the villa. At Gluges beach, a supervised and free pebble beach, you can swim, canoe or simply relax while admiring the spectacular limestone cliffs lining the river.

Of course we would love to leave a review for the house, as we are extremely enthusiastic about it. First of all, we received a warm welcome from the new owner, who showed us all the ins and outs of the property and gave us a wonderful welcome package with local products.

The house itself was recently renovated, and we really liked the changes. Plenty of shade has been created, allowing you to sit at the outdoor table in the shade all day long. There is an outdoor kitchen, as well as comfortable sun loungers by the pool. Inside, the house is cozy, spacious, and very well-equipped with more than enough crockery and household appliances. All upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. On the really hot days, we did miss having air conditioning downstairs a bit. There are also all kinds of outdoor games available, such as a ball, jeu de boules, and badminton. The pool is fantastic and was cleaned every other day. Towels and dishcloths were provided in abundance.

The house is located about 15 minutes from civilization, which we actually found lovely. We didn't miss a thing and thoroughly enjoyed 2 weeks with 2 families and 7 teenagers. We want to go back here next year!

We made trips to Rocamadour, Martel, the waterfalls of Autoire and Saint Cirque de la Popie. The kids loved a canoe trip on the Dordogne. Everything was fine. The dog was apparently not passed on to the owners, but with an imposition of 50 euros for the cleaning it was okay. If they saw the animal, they were reassured I think...
I didn't take many pictures myself, I might ask the kids...
I think the owners were pleased with how clean we left it and other than 2 broken beer and wine glasses there was no damage I think.
The air conditioning was unfortunately not very necessary that week, it was also a bit of bad weather in France. But in the end we didn't have much rain and we were able to do everything we wanted (an excursion every day with the Gouffre De Padirac as the highlight).
Driving to such a trip was usually an adventure in itself along mountain trails just wide enough for 2 cars :)
We ate more than we made food, all the restaurants were top notch and we were always under 250 euros when we had dinner with 8 people, those are prices that you will not easily get here in Belgium for that quality.
We only suffered from Covid for 1 day when we had to do a quick test at the pharmacy for Isabelle because she was 1 day short for her 2nd vaccine to enter the Gouffre. All pharmacists were full, except for one in a small village that we finally got hold of after a long phone call. And as said, it was worth it :)
