Las Costes is an excellent place to stay. The house is spacious and very clean, has all the amenities you need, and is nicely decorated. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the quiet location, and the swimming pool. During the period we rented the house (mid-July), the weather was unfortunately unpleasantly hot (between 35 and 40 degrees). Fortunately, it was easy to keep the house cool indoors thanks to the large fan and air conditioning in the bedrooms. On Fridays, there is a pleasant market in Souillac. There is one restaurant in the village (Chastrusses) where we had a delicious meal.

I am happy to share some experiences as you suggest. Las Costas is a lovely house in a beautiful location. The house is spacious, and the same applies to the surrounding grounds. What a beautiful view! The interior of the house is pleasantly comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped to go wild with cooking. The swimming pool is a beautiful and very pleasant facility, especially once the weather is warm. You can walk right into the small and quiet village of Nadaillac de Rouge. From 5:00 PM onwards, you can visit the only and excellent restaurant, Hôtel Chastrusse. It is a lovely place to stay.
In the vicinity of the house, there is more than enough opportunity to walk, cycle, and, for example, canoe on the Dordogne. There is also much else to see and do.
The local managers of the house stay in the background, but they are approachable and friendly. In short, as far as we are concerned, Las Costes is a wonderful place to find relaxation in many respects. Finally, a tip for drivers of hybrid and fully electric cars. Charging hybrid models is possible at many places in the immediate vicinity: Souillac, Sarlat, and Gourdon. For all-electric vehicles, a relatively good charging point can be found in Sarlat (E-totem 150KW). Not a giant, but reasonably fast. And there is a nice shopping center nearby.

We had a great stay at the Las Costes gîte. The view and the pool were incredible. During our stay there was a village party, with an exceptional atmosphere! We were lucky not to be too hot. At the time of our stay it was about 30 degrees during the day. In short, we had a wonderful stay!

Lovely house with great views. In the evening BBQ and on the terrace with a view and total peace every evening was super. All amenities in and around the house. Yes, shops / supermarkets are a short drive away, but the French landscape is no punishment! and a huge thank you to David who came by to keep the pool top. Tip: folding table tennis table!
