(07-2026) Dear Marieke and Martijn,
We had a wonderful 2-week stay at Villa Blanche in Pujols.
First of all, a huge thank you for the recommendation! What a gorgeous house, fully equipped with everything you could need! We lacked for nothing! (Except maybe mosquito screens haha!) We got bitten so much! But apart from that, it was lovely! Beautiful surroundings and friendly people. We swam a lot in the large pool, which enjoyed some nice shade in the late afternoon. We were lucky with the weather, though it got very hot at times, which was quite unusual for this time of year.
And whenever we needed anything, sweet Astrid helped us quickly and efficiently! Truly amazing! She also gave us great tips on things to do nearby—the Wednesday night market in Pujols is an absolute must-visit! It was so much fun! Eating at long tables alongside locals with delicious local dishes bought from stalls around the square. The village itself is definitely worth a visit too! So beautiful and genuinely medieval, like a movie set.
We took a boat trip on the Lot river with a self-drive electric boat. We also visited a cave—and there are several others nearby—which is nice and cool on hot days.
There is so much to do around there, but when it's too hot, sightseeing can be a bit tough. It's best to save trips for days below 30 degrees—otherwise, just enjoy swimming!
Just a few small notes:
-
The Wi-Fi downstairs in the house is a bit weak. (A tip from the teenagers)
-
The mosquito screens indeed.
-
And perhaps some larger pots and pans: we were a group of 7 and it was just enough for cooking, but if the house can accommodate 14 guests, there are definitely too few and too small pots.
(Note from FranceVilla: the owner is going to purchase additional large pots.)
Other than that, everything was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this house! Also thanks to the great care provided by you and Astrid! We will certainly book through your website again!
Thanks again!
Warm regards,
The Kuiken family
