The house is a perfect combination of authentic charm and modern comfort. Very spacious (especially for a family of 3) and spotlessly clean. The swimming pool is fantastic, and the garden is beautiful. It is in a great location: a local supermarket just around the corner and a playground within walking distance, yet very peaceful. By car, you can easily reach nearby villages and towns. Communication with the owner was smooth and quick. We would definitely recommend this villa to others!

Our experience with Villa Les Rocs was top-notch! The house is not only very spacious, but also cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with almost every comfort. The kitchen is large and a pleasure to use, and with bedrooms and bathrooms both downstairs and upstairs, there is plenty of space for everyone. But when the weather is nice, the best place to be is on the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. The saltwater pool is also wonderful. The owner, Anouar, is rightfully proud of this holiday home—he is extremely attentive and welcoming. We can definitely recommend this villa!

On the village square in La Bachellerie, there is a convenient local shop for basic necessities, and on Monday evenings, there is a pizza truck (which we unfortunately missed). A 15-minute drive away in Peyrignac, you'll find Bakery Le Pain de Peyrignac (lieu dit "Les Magoberts", Peyrignac, France, 24210) with delicious, fresh bread and pastries. Additionally, Montignac is certainly worth a visit for a stroll, and it's also very practical with two larger supermarkets (Intermarché and Aldi). Do keep in mind that the supermarkets are only open on Sunday mornings!

The house was exceptionally well-equipped. We traveled with two small dogs and a two-year-old toddler, and we wanted for nothing. Anouar was a very attentive host, and we had a particularly wonderful holiday. The property is spacious, featuring a large kitchen and living area, and the adjoining studio is definitely an added bonus in the summer. We would recommend this house without hesitation: a pleasant, spacious holiday home with a large, fully fenced garden where our dogs could run around freely.

Our tip for future guests: enjoy the house, the pool, and the terrace – everything is provided for a fantastic vacation.

We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Villa Les Rocs. Communication with Anouar was pleasant and smooth. It was also a lovely touch that two bottles of wine were waiting for us chilled, and in the second week, he brought two more.

The house offers a very comfortable stay; the air conditioning upstairs is wonderful with the summer temperatures. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathrooms are comfortable. The saltwater pool is also great and much better than most chlorine pools.

Upon our arrival, the village festival was taking place that weekend, and we popped over to take a look. The small local shop (a 2-minute walk) is convenient for basic essentials. For a larger supermarket, the Intermarché in Montignac is great and very well-stocked.

*Tuesday evening night market (food market) at the Tourtoirac caves
*Antique/flea market shops in Hautefort (near the castle)

The stay was excellent. The house was amazing in every respect. A lovely living room and kitchen, a beautiful garden with a very nice and pleasant swimming pool. Everyone enjoyed it: the children playing, the adults more in relaxation mode. The air conditioning upstairs and the fans in the living room were certainly a plus given the heat. It was also very pleasant to spend time on the covered terrace: shade during the hottest part of the day, protection against rain during the evening thunderstorm, and easy cooking on the gas griddle. There are both indoor and outdoor games available in the house (chess, checkers, Scrabble, Number Kubb, balls). The kitchen is also fully equipped for comfort: various types of coffee machines, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer, kettle, and plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, and glasses. Everything has been thought of. There is a small shop in the village where you can buy bread and some small items. Larger supermarkets can be found 10-15 minutes away by car. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the local village festival (nocturnal market), to which we were invited by the owners. We would definitely recommend the house to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Les Rocs for 3 weeks! The host/owner was very helpful and incredibly friendly. It is a delightful swimming pool, semi-salt water, waaaay nicer than chlorine. The location looked like an estate, with beautiful trees and fruit trees. We picked a lot of cherries and they were delicious! The house was fully equipped. Crockery, cutlery, and all kinds of kitchen utensils were available in abundance. We had to brave high temperatures of around 40 degrees for part of the holiday. Fortunately, the gite and the upstairs bedrooms had air conditioning! Wonderful. We, but certainly our 2 Labradors, had a fantastic holiday! Anouar is a real star!

In early March it was still too cold for the pool, but it looked inviting. The surroundings are beautiful, lovely for cycling and walking. It is very quiet there. The only downside is that for a real bakery you have to drive to another nearby town. The Bar Tabac does sell bread and is within walking distance, but that is still different.

The contact with Anouar was great! He is always available and has done everything in the world to make it as pleasant as possible for us. La Bachellerie is close to some stunning places to visit, such as Saint-Leon.Sur-Vesere where you will find Le Petit Leon, a restaurant which really ought to be Michelain starred because the food is so good! The local Epicerie in La Bachellerie has a depot de pain, and the croissants are all butter and delicious, and the shop stocks a fantastic range of goods considering it is quite a small space. We even found Almond Milk, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the house, and the area. Thank you Anouar, we had a great stay at your place.

We have indeed been back for a week and really enjoyed the house. We were also very lucky with the weather so that was nice too.

The contact with the landlord was excellent and everything was clear and he was on the doorstep within a few minutes if there were any questions.

The bakery in the village was a very big plus. Still nicer to be able to go to the bakery on foot than to have to sit in the car for 20 minutes.

The fact that you can reach your destination very quickly from the highway is also very pleasant.

The area is also very beautiful, but of course you know that. This house is definitely on the list to book again.

We enjoyed the house and the beautiful Dordogne region. The house has a large enclosed garden in which the children and dog could play to their heart's content. The pool was wonderfully refreshing on the hot days. We were received very warmly by the owner who even gave us a tour through La Bachellerie and the surrounding area! Very nice. Played tennis nearby on the tennis court. We got bread in the morning at the shop around the corner. The house has a lot of space. The kids had their own bathroom upstairs. We did not use the apartment ourselves, but it was nice and cool there all day. Beautiful environment. Nice trips made to the villages and castles in the area. Lovely swim in the Ceou and the Vezere. Spotted a lot of deer!

We have left Chemin des Rocs this morning and I just wanted to say how perfect it is. The house, pool and garden - all of it just great.

The beds were made up beautifully and it was spotlessly clean throughout on arrival. Comfortable to sleep, cook and relax in. It was so peaceful in the quiet garden with the pool at always a good temperature.

The village is also lovely and has great facilities with the little shop, bakery, tennis court and children's playground all in walking distance. It would be a great place for a young family to stay, for us and our dogs it was gorgeous. We found a walk straight out the door for the dogs which they loved every morning. The garden being completely securely fenced also allowed peace of mind to have the dogs roam free when we were enjoying the pool or similar.

Thank you and thank you to Anourd for allowing us to stay in the beautiful home and all his help. We hope to be back next year.
